Yvonne Domenge Mexico, 1946-2019

"With my work, I want to catch the movement and the living quality of nature. I want to capture the fluidity of Life."
Yvonne Domenge studied at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. under the direction of Somsy Smuthart and, in Mexicto City, she participated in private workshops with Kitzia Hoffman and Alberto Pérez Soria.
 
Working in materials as diverse as wood, stone, clay, marble, cement, steel, porcelain, silver, and resin, Domenge has had more than 40 solo shows and participated in nearly 200 group exhibitions in cities across Mexico, United States, Canada, Europe and China, including the Musee du Louvre in Paris.
 
Some of her most important monumental sculptures in Mexico are those located, in the National Institute of Nuclear Research (ININ), State of Mexico; the Garden of the Empress in National Palace, Mexico city; Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Azcapotzalco, Mexico citu; in the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and in the Faculty of Higher Studies in Zaragoza, both from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM); the Botanical Garden of Culiacán, Sinaloa; in Galerias Cuernavaca, Cuernavaca, Morelos; Lomas de Angelópolis, Angelópolis, Puebla, Mexico. Abroad, the sculptures located in Martin L.
